Early Start Family Support Workers/Whanau Awhina work with client families/whanau using a collaborative, problem solving and solution focussed approach, finding a balance between:
- Family/whanau strengths and family/whanau challenges
- Family/whanau generated goals and agency generated goals
Early Start endeavours to work with client families/whanau in a culturally sensitive and safe manner by respecting individual family/whanau values, ethnicities and customs.
Each Family Support Worker/Whanau Awhina seeks to form a collaborative partnership with their client families/whanau taking into account each family's/whanau varying needs, dreams and aspirations.
